London, England – 08 December, 2014 / meetingrooms.com, the global marketplace to book professional meeting rooms, on-demand, is pleased to announce that Matt Makan has joined the startup’s UK offices as Corporate Sales Manager. In this role Matt will grow the company’s corporate channel through the development of corporate accounts.

Matt is a veteran in the meeting room industry, bringing over 10 years of new business development and key account management to the meetingrooms.com team. Previously Matt served as Area Sales Manager forAvanta Serviced Office Group, where he oversaw the development and sales of the company’s meeting room product. Prior to joining Avanta, he contributed to the success of MWB Business Exchange (acquired byRegus), developing corporate accounts for meeting, training and event space.

meetingrooms.com launched in March of this year in private beta with venue partners in 30 countries. Now in public beta, meetingrooms.com has processed bookings in 20 markets across the UK, Ireland, North America, Australia and New Zealand. The company will officially launch to end users in a series of global markets in the coming months
